As part of our celebration of International Women’s Rights Day on March 8, we’re delighted to welcome a Senegalese theater company to present their show “MONDIAL.E.S” in the evening. This play addresses the role and place of women in Senegalese society, as well as the image of African women in the world. It raises essential questions about the concept of sorority, feminist struggles and women’s rights in the light of globalization, new technologies and Islam.

On the morning of March 8, artists from Brrr Production’s theater troupe will lead a workshop for members of the Women’s Association for Women and Victim’s Empowerment (WAVE). 15 participants will be brought together for an Image Theater workshop, open to those who have never practiced theater before. The workshop will be held in English and will last 3 hours (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

During this workshop, participants will collectively explore the creation of images enabling them to communicate non-verbally and with their bodies on personal or collective issues linked to women’s rights. In this way, they will be able to understand and analyze what others mean in a different way and develop these images, opening the way to possible solutions to problems or a new dialogue around this theme.

The day will be full of activities. Discover the full program below:
