Alliance française de Banjul is recruiting a

Campus France and Francophonie for Schools Manager

Background

The Alliance Française de Banjul, in partnership with Campus France Sénégal, is recruiting a full-time Campus France and Francophonie School Manager, whose mission is divided into two parts:

1 – Mission 1 : Promoting studies in France

The person recruited will aim to increase the number of Gambian students in France, particularly at Master’s and Doctorate level and in all disciplines. To achieve this, he or she will promote the range of courses on offer in France (particularly Master’s programs taught in English), and make contact with Gambian students to broaden the pool of targeted students. In particular, this mission will cover :

• Running the Campus France space at the Alliance Française: welcoming and providing information on higher education in France;
• Helping Gambian students prepare for their mobility to France;
• Promotion of French higher education and the range of courses on offer, in particular masters degrees taught in English in all disciplines;
• Identification and follow-up of local partners;
• Coordinate with partners (universities, high schools, etc.) to ensure a presence on their sites to reach out to the target population;
• Carry out all relevant communication actions (social networks, websites, articles, production of media, etc.).

1 – Mission 2 : Promoting the French language and culture in schools

• Coordination and development of links with Gambian schools, teachers and French clubs: school visits to the Alliance and organization of extra-curricular activities in conjunction with the media library, the cultural department and the school management;
• Coordination of key Francophonie events: Marche de la Francophonie, Cinécole festival, Génies en herbe competition, Concours d’Eloquence de la Jeunesse, support for the cooperation officer in organizing Festhi;
• Support for Alliance French teachers in promoting activities for FLE students (film screenings, meetings with artists, competitions, activities as part of the Francophonie month, etc.).
• Promotion of DELF-DALF certification in partner establishments.

Operational reporting : Directeur Campus France Sénégal (formation, accompagnement et supports) 

Employment status

Full-time contract for one year, renewable on fixed-term contract

Workplace

Alliance Française de Banjul

Travel to Gambian high schools, schools and universities is expected.

Job requirements

Minimum qualification :

Master’s level if possible

Fluency in English and French: French B1 and English B1

Expertise

Knowledge of the education sector in The Gambia and of the various training courses in France

Good command of IT tools

Skills

Demonstrate reserve and professional discretion

Strong autonomy
