Throughout his career, Patrick has made a lasting impact in many countries through acclaimed artistic residencies. From South America to the United States, from Africa to Asia and Europe, his art installations have sparked admiration and reflection. Recently, he created “City spirits” in Addis Ababa, exploring urban changes in Ethiopia, and “Le voyage souterrain” at Qara Prison in Meknes, a monumental installation honoring a UNESCO World Heritage site.
At Alliance Française of Banjul, Patrick will lead interactive workshops and unique artistic performances like drawing concerts. Imagine sessions where music blends with visual art, and stories unfold live before your eyes. This is what you will witness during his stay.

On January 24th, Patrick Singh took part in the drawn concert “Soundscapes“ at the Alliance Française de Banjul. During this event, he created his artworks live, projected on a large screen, while Waagal played the handpan and Musa Suso performed on the kora, creating an enchanting musical atmosphere blending crystalline sounds and ancestral melodies.
The opening of Patrick Singh’s exhibition, titled “Floating Pages“, took place on January 28th, 2025, at the Alliance Française de Banjul. The artist showcased the result of his residency, exploring Gambian society through his drawings, portraits, and immersive installations.
Patrick Singh also presented his library-pirogue during the exhibition, More than just a boat. Transformed into a library, it becomes a living symbol of knowledge transmission in The Gambia. A presentation video is available below.
