Since 2022, during the Francophonie month in March, the Alliance Française of Banjul has been organizing the Cinécole Festival, which involves screening French films in different Gambian classrooms to familiarize children with the French language in a fun way.

The film screenings are followed by a discussion in French. This “outreach” activity particularly benefits children who don’t have the opportunity to attend our regular screenings.

In total that year, more than 350 students were able to discover one of these two films!
