About the Event

This exhibition focuses on a living tradition in Banjul: the Hunting Celebration. Through a selection of photographs by Modou Lamin Bah and Muhammed Badjie, as well as public discussions, performances, and screenings, audiences will be invited to explore the many dimensions of this community event.

Program

• 5:00 PM — Round table discussion with guests
• 6:00 PM — Opening of the photo exhibition + cocktail
• 7:30 PM — Live performance by the Ekun Baba Hunting Society
• 8:00 PM — Screening of a short documentary on the celebration
• 8:20 PM — Screening of the film “Futampaf” (Jola rite of passage)
• 8:40 PM — Open discussion with the public
