🎞️ Synopsis
tells the powerful story of Seydou and Moussa, two teenagers who leave Dakar with dreams of reaching Europe. As they journey through deserts, detention centers, and the Mediterranean Sea, they face extreme hardship and danger. Through their courage and humanity, the film offers a modern odyssey on migration, dignity, and resilience.
KONOTO – Produced by Percy Studios, this poetic short film highlights Gambian culture through symbolic imagery and storytelling. It offers a refined and artistic vision of heritage and identity.
Before the screening, the Alliance’s restaurant, SpiceHub, will offer a signature dish from Italian cuisine.
The European Film Festival is an initiative of the European Union that aims to promote Europe’s cultural and cinematic diversity. This 4th edition is organised in partnership with the Embassy of Germany, France Diplomatie, the Spanish diplomatic mission in The Gambia, and the Embassy of Italy, each presenting a film from their respective country.
