L’amour te reviendra is a wordless puppet show accompanied by music. When we meet Bea, a tiny little girl living alone in an old kettle in the middle of the forest, she looks for friends among the creatures that surround her. Her world is turned upside down when she discovers an egg in a chickadee’s nest and decides to steal it, in the hope that friendship will be born. The play explores themes of loneliness, friendship and resilience, as well as our deep connection to nature.
Born out of a love of nature, this play is inspired by the flora and fauna that surround us. In the context of climate change and pandemics, this project presents nature as an option for health and well-being. Inspired by children’s authors such as Astrid Lindgren and Roald Dahl, we believe that children need stories that tackle difficult themes, precisely to break the isolation they feel when they are experiencing these emotions. L’amour te reviendra is a touching and optimistic tale, and the play places us in nature to reassure us that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.
