🎞️ Synopsis

Just a few hours before starting his new job as a prison guard, Juan finds himself trapped in the middle of a violent riot. To survive, he pretends to be one of the inmates. Caught in an increasingly dangerous situation, he must rely on his wit and courage. A gripping, multi-award-winning thriller that explores the tension between justice, survival, and morality.

🎬 Gambian short film as opening act

NANGUL – Produced by the students of the Mbolo-Fandema Foundation, this short film is their first collective creation as part of the Media Course. With a duration of 12 minutes, it offers beautiful cinematography and engaging performances, despite a simple plot. A promising and heartfelt debut.


🍽️ European Flavours

Before the screening, the Alliance’s restaurant, SpiceHub, will offer a traditional dish from Spanish cuisine.


ℹ️ About the Festival

The European Film Festival is an initiative of the European Union that aims to promote Europe’s cultural and cinematic diversity. This 4th edition is organised in partnership with the Embassy of Germany, France Diplomatie, the Spanish diplomatic mission in The Gambia, and the Embassy of Italy, each presenting a film from their respective country.
