🎞️ Synopsis
Set in modern-day Germany, More Than Strangers follows the intertwined lives of several characters from different cultural backgrounds. As their paths cross, friendships are formed, prejudices are challenged, and the meaning of identity is redefined. A poignant and contemporary story about coexistence, connection, and empathy in a diverse society.
SILENT SYMPHONY – Produced by Percy Studios, this short film explores the power of music as an inner refuge. It is an aesthetically meticulous film that offers a sensitive and visual perspective on artistic expression in The Gambia.
Before the screening, the Alliance’s restaurant, SpiceHub, will offer a signature dish from German cuisine.
The European Film Festival is an initiative of the European Union that aims to promote Europe’s cultural and cinematic diversity. This 4th edition is organised in partnership with the Embassy of Germany, France Diplomatie, the Spanish diplomatic mission in The Gambia, and the Embassy of Italy, each presenting a film from their respective country.
