These activities are led by Emily Joof who is a multicultural author of children’s books. She speaks four languages, has lived in Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Sweden and England and has discovered many different cultures.
“My goal with Mbifebooks is to produce inclusive stories that celebrate the African diaspora and make them available in all libraries, preschools, schools and homes. I want to provide educational material that helps parents, carers and educators start conversations that lead to a more socially just society.”
She offers a workshop at the Alliance one Friday in a month (1pm) around the French language, intercultural richness and different books.
